  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 red onion, sliced
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Divide the ground beef into 4 equal parts and shape them into burger patties. Season each patty with salt and pepper.
  • Place the burger patties on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  • While the burgers are cooking, place the bacon slices on the grill and cook until crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • During the last minute of cooking, brush each burger patty with BBQ sauce and place a slice of cheddar cheese on top. Close the grill to allow the cheese to melt.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes, until lightly golden brown.
  • Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a burger patty with melted cheese, 2 slices of bacon, tomato slices, and red onion slices. Spread additional BBQ sauce on the top half of the bun if desired.
  • Serve the bacon BBQ burgers with your favorite side dishes and enjoy!
