Instructions

  • Preheat the grill or a grill pan to medium-high heat.
  • In a bowl, mix the ground beef with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and form them into thin patties.
  • Place 2 slices of bacon on a cutting board, slightly overlapping. Place a beef patty on top of the bacon and wrap the bacon around the patty, then repeat with the remaining patties and bacon.
  • Grill the bacon-wrapped patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the bacon is crispy and the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.
  • During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and allow it to melt.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
  • Assemble the burgers by spreading 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun, then adding a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, a bacon-wrapped patty with melted cheese, and a few slices of avocado. Top with the other half of the bun.
