Instructions

  • Cook the Back to Nature Macaroni according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  • Stir in 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  • Gradually whisk in 1 1/2 cups of milk and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and bubbles.
  • Reduce the heat to low and stir in 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, and stir to combine.
