Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 slices of bacon
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 tomato slices
- 4 onion slices
- 4 slices of cheese (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together 1 lb of ground turkey, 1/2 cup of bread crumbs, 1 egg, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
- Form the mixture into 4 patties.
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, cook the turkey patties for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
- If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
- Toast the hamburger buns in the skillet or on a grill until lightly browned.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a turkey patty on the bottom half of each bun, then topping with bacon, avocado slices, lettuce, tomato, and onion.
- Cover with the top half of the bun and serve immediately.
