Asian Dumpling Platter
Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 24 pieces of dumpling wrappers
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup water
- Dipping sauce of your choice (soy sauce, chili oil, etc.)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 1/2 pound of ground pork, 1/2 cup of finely chopped cabbage, 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, 1/2 teaspoon of grated ginger, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
- Place a small spoonful of the pork mixture onto the center of each dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold and pleat to seal the dumplings.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the dumplings in the skillet and cook until the bottoms are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
- Carefully pour in 1/4 cup of water and immediately cover the skillet with a lid. Steam the dumplings for about 5-6 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through and the wrappers are translucent.
- Remove the lid and continue cooking until all the water has evaporated and the bottoms of the dumplings are crispy again.
- Transfer the dumplings to a serving platter and serve with your choice of dipping sauce. Enjoy!
