  • Add the marinated chicken thighs and cook until lightly browned on all sides.
  • Pour in the marinade, water, bay leaves, and whole peppercorns. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the brown sugar and salt to taste. Simmer for an additional 10 minutes or until the chicken is tender and the sauce has thickened.
  • Serve hot with steamed rice and enjoy!
