Instructions

  • Preheat a panini press or a grill pan over medium heat.
  • Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  • On the non-mayonnaise side of 2 slices of bread, layer the turkey, avocado, and cheddar cheese. Top with the remaining 2 slices of bread, mayonnaise side down.
  • Spread 1/2 tablespoon of butter on the outside of each sandwich.
  • Place the sandwiches in the panini press or grill pan and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Carefully remove the sandwiches from the press or pan, slice in half, and serve hot.
