Turkish

Tulumba, a popular Turkish dessert, has a rich history dating back to the Ottoman Empire. This sweet treat is made from fried dough soaked in syrup, resulting in a crispy exterior and a moist, sweet interior. It is often compared to churros or éclairs. Chefs in Istanbul and other regions of Turkey have perfected the art of making tulumba, ensuring that it is light, airy, and perfectly sweet. Today, the best versions of this dish can be found in traditional Turkish bakeries and restaurants. The key to a great tulumba lies in achieving the right balance of crispiness and syrupy sweetness.
