Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a food processor, combine 1 1/4 cups of flour, 1/4 cup of granulated sugar, 1/2 cup of cold and cubed unsalted butter, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom. Place the pan on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, or until the crust is lightly golden. Remove from the oven and set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together 1/2 cup of toffee bits and 1/2 cup of chopped mixed nuts. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the baked crust.
  • In another bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar, 1/2 cup of light corn syrup, 2 lightly beaten large eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Pour the filling over the toffee and nut mixture in the crust.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.
  • Allow the tart to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before removing the sides of the tart pan.
  • Once cooled, slice and serve the toffee nut tart. Enjoy!
