Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, cream together 1 cup of softened butter, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Gradually mix in 2 cups of all-purpose flour and 1/4 teaspoon of salt until a dough forms.
  • Press the dough into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form an even layer.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the crust is set and lightly golden.
  • Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle 1 cup of toffee bits and 1 cup of chopped nuts evenly over the crust.
  • Return the pan to the oven and continue baking for an additional 10 minutes, or until the toffee is melted and bubbly.
