  • In a small saucepan, heat 1/2 cup of heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
  • Reduce the heat to low and add 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter to the saucepan. Stir constantly until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Let the chocolate sauce cool for a few minutes.
  • Scoop the softened Talenti gelato into serving bowls.
