  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 6 hamburger buns

Instructions

  • In a slow cooker, place the pork shoulder, chopped onion, and minced garlic.
  • In a bowl, mix together the chicken broth, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, chili powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  • Pour the mixture over the pork shoulder in the slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the pork is very tender and falls apart easily with a fork.
  • Once the pork is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
  • Skim off any fat from the cooking liquid in the slow cooker and then return the shredded pork to the slow cooker. Mix well with the cooking liquid.
  • Toast the hamburger buns in a toaster or on a grill.
  • Spoon the spicy pulled pork onto the bottom half of each bun, and cover with the top half of the bun.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!
