Instructions

  • Bake the cake according to the instructions on the box. Allow it to cool completely.
  • Crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs in a large bowl.
  • Add 1/2 cup of frosting to the cake crumbs and mix until well combined.
  • Using your hands, roll the cake mixture into 24 evenly sized balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  • Melt the candy melts in separate bowls according to the package instructions.
  • Dip the tip of each lollipop stick into the melted candy melts and insert it into a cake ball, about halfway through. Repeat for all cake balls and let the candy melts set.
  • Dip each cake pop into the melted candy melts, tapping off any excess, and place them back on the lined baking sheet to set.
  • If desired, sprinkle edible glitter or sprinkles over the cake pops before the candy melts set completely.
  • Once the candy melts have set, your space-themed cake pops are ready to enjoy!
