Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup diced onion
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1 cup diced carrots
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup frozen peas
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Add the chicken broth, onion, celery, carrots, garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and vegetables are tender.
- Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred with two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and heavy cream until smooth. Stir the mixture into the slow cooker.
- Add the frozen peas to the slow cooker and stir to combine.
- Cut the biscuit dough into small pieces and place on top of the chicken mixture in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on high for an additional 30 minutes, or until the biscuit dough is cooked through and the mixture is thickened.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
