Dessert
American

Shoney's strawberry pie has been a beloved dessert since its introduction in the 1970s. This iconic dish features a flaky crust filled with fresh strawberries and a sweet glaze, topped with whipped cream. Originally created by Shoney's, a popular American restaurant chain, the pie quickly gained a cult following for its luscious, fruity flavor. The recipe has been passed down through generations of Shoney's chefs, ensuring its authenticity and deliciousness. Today, the best version of this pie can still be found at Shoney's restaurants across the United States. The key to a perfect strawberry pie lies in using ripe, juicy strawberries and a perfectly baked crust. For a unique twist, some chefs add a hint of citrus zest to enhance the pie's bright flavors. Whether enjoyed at a Shoney's diner or homemade, this classic dessert continues to delight strawberry lovers everywhere.
