  • While the steaks are resting, place the cubed potatoes and minced garlic in a large pot. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Cook until the potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes. Drain well.
  • In the same pot, melt the butter over low heat. Add the cooked potatoes and garlic, then pour in the heavy cream. Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • To serve, divide the garlic mashed potatoes among four plates. Place a seared steak on top of each serving and sprinkle with chopped chives. Enjoy!
