Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together 2 cups of heavy cream, 1 cup of whole milk, 3/4 cup of granulated sugar, and 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder until the sugar and cocoa powder are fully dissolved.
  • Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  • Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, usually about 25-30 minutes, or until the mixture reaches a soft-serve consistency.
  • Stir in 1/2 cup of mini marshmallows and 1/2 cup of chopped nuts during the last 5 minutes of churning.
  • Transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container, cover with plastic wrap directly on the surface of the ice cream to prevent ice crystals from forming, and freeze for at least 8 hours or overnight until firm.
