Ingredients
- 4 slices of white bread
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Gouda cheese
- 1 ripe avocado, sliced
- 4 tablespoons of butter
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together the cheddar, mozzarella, pepper jack, Swiss, and Gouda cheeses.
- Place 2 slices of bread on a clean surface and divide the cheese mixture evenly between the two slices.
- Layer the avocado slices on top of the cheese mixture, dividing them evenly between the two slices of bread.
- Top each sandwich with the remaining 2 slices of bread.
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
- Carefully place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet when flipping the sandwiches to cook the second side.
- Once both sides are golden brown and the cheese is melted, remove the sandwiches from the skillet and let them cool for a minute before slicing and serving.
