The Pulled Chicken Sandwich has a rich history, originating in the southern United States. This beloved dish features tender, slow-cooked chicken, shredded and mixed with a tangy, flavorful barbecue sauce. Renowned chefs and restaurants across the South, such as Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint in Tennessee and Rodney Scott's Whole Hog BBQ in South Carolina, have perfected this classic. The key to an exceptional Pulled Chicken Sandwich lies in the quality of the chicken and the balance of spices in the barbecue sauce. For a unique twist, some chefs smoke the chicken for added depth of flavor. Today, the best versions of this dish can be found in authentic barbecue joints and food trucks across the South.
