Dessert
American

Peach pie has been a beloved dessert in the United States since the 19th century. The combination of sweet, juicy peaches and flaky pastry has made it a staple of Southern cuisine. Chefs like Paula Deen and Trisha Yearwood have popularized their own versions of this classic dish, adding a touch of Southern charm to the recipe. The best peach pies can be found in the heart of Georgia, where the state's famous peaches are harvested. To make the perfect peach pie, it's crucial to use ripe, flavorful peaches and a buttery, tender crust. For a twist, some bakers add a hint of cinnamon or nutmeg to enhance the flavor profile. Whether enjoyed at a family gathering or a local diner, peach pie continues to be a timeless favorite.
