Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Maple syrup, for drizzling
- Whipped cream, for topping
Instructions
- In a large bowl, sift together 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 3 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of white sugar.
- Make a well in the center and pour in 1 1/4 cups of milk, 1 egg, 3 tablespoons of melted butter, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.
- Place the cooked pancakes on a platter, drizzle with maple syrup, and top with a dollop of whipped cream.
