Pan-Seared Halibut with Citrus Sauce is a delectable dish that has its roots in the coastal regions of North America, particularly in the Pacific Northwest. Renowned chefs like Tom Douglas and Ethan Stowell have popularized this dish in their restaurants in Seattle, Washington. The dish features a thick cut of halibut, seasoned with salt and pepper, then seared to perfection in a hot pan to achieve a crispy exterior while maintaining a tender, flaky interior. The citrus sauce, typically made with a blend of lemon, orange, and lime juices, adds a bright and tangy flavor that perfectly complements the mild sweetness of the halibut. For the best version of this dish, sourcing fresh, high-quality halibut is crucial, as it is the star ingredient. Additionally, achieving the right balance of acidity and sweetness in the citrus sauce is essential for a truly exceptional Pan-Seared Halibut with Citrus Sauce.
