Ingredients
- 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 Thai bird's eye chilies, chopped
- 2 shallots, thinly sliced
- 2 cups holy basil leaves
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp fish sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Heat 2 tbsp of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
- Add 4 cloves of minced garlic and 4 chopped Thai bird's eye chilies, and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
- Add 1 lb of thinly sliced beef and stir-fry until it is no longer pink.
- Add 2 thinly sliced shallots and continue to stir-fry for another minute.
- In a small bowl, mix together 2 tbsp of oyster sauce, 1 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tsp of fish sauce, and 1 tsp of sugar.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and stir to combine.
- Add 2 cups of holy basil leaves and 1/4 cup of chicken broth, and stir-fry until the basil is wilted.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately with steamed rice.
