Instructions

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
  • Add the sliced flank steak and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from the wok and set aside.
  • In the same wok, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and chopped Thai bird's eye chilies. Stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Increase the heat to high and add the cooked flank steak back into the wok.
  • Add the oyster sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until the beef is coated with the sauce.
  • Add the water and continue to stir-fry for another minute until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  • Turn off the heat and add the fresh basil leaves. Toss until the basil is wilted.
  • Serve the Pad Krapow Neua with steamed jasmine rice and enjoy!
