Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 Thai bird's eye chilies, chopped
- 2 cups fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
- Add the sliced flank steak and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from the wok and set aside.
- In the same wok, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and chopped Thai bird's eye chilies. Stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Increase the heat to high and add the cooked flank steak back into the wok.
- Add the oyster sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until the beef is coated with the sauce.
- Add the water and continue to stir-fry for another minute until the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Turn off the heat and add the fresh basil leaves. Toss until the basil is wilted.
- Serve the Pad Krapow Neua with steamed jasmine rice and enjoy!
