Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix together 2 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp fish sauce, and 1 tsp sugar. Set aside.
  • Heat 2 tbsp of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
  • Add 4 cloves of minced garlic, 2 thinly sliced shallots, and 2-3 finely chopped Thai chilies to the wok. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add 1 lb of thinly sliced beef to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  • Add 2 cups of mixed vegetables (bell peppers, snap peas, carrots, broccoli) to the wok and stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  • Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and vegetables in the wok. Stir to combine and coat everything evenly with the sauce.
  • Add 1 cup of fresh basil leaves to the wok and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until the basil is wilted.
  • Remove the wok from the heat and serve the Pad Krapow Neua with mixed vegetables immediately over cooked rice. Enjoy!
