Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 box of cake mix (flavor of your choice)
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup of frosting (flavor of your choice)
- 12 cake pop sticks
- 1 cup of candy melts (color of your choice)
- 1/4 cup of sprinkles (color of your choice)
- 12 small surprise fillings (e.g. chocolate truffles, fruit preserves, caramel)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to the temperature specified on the cake mix box. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake according to the instructions on the cake mix box. Once baked, let the cake cool completely.
- Crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs in a large bowl. Add the frosting and mix until well combined.
- Take a small amount of the cake mixture and press a surprise filling into the center. Roll the mixture into a ball, making sure the filling is completely covered. Repeat with the remaining cake mixture and surprise fillings.
- Melt the candy melts according to the package instructions. Dip the tip of each cake pop stick into the melted candy melts and insert it into a cake ball. Place the cake pops on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for 15 minutes.
- Dip each cake pop into the melted candy melts, allowing any excess to drip off. Sprinkle with the colored sprinkles and place back on the parchment paper to set.
- Once the candy melts have set, the Nebula Cake Pops with Surprise Filling are ready to be enjoyed!
