Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, sliced

Instructions

  • Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  • In a large bowl, mix the ground beef with 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of paprika. Form the seasoned beef into 4 patties.
  • Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the sliced mushrooms until they are golden brown and tender. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Place the beef patties on the preheated grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty to melt.
  • While the patties are cooking, mix 1/4 cup of mayonnaise with 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard in a small bowl.
  • Assemble the burgers by spreading the Dijon-mayo mixture on the bottom half of each hamburger bun. Place a beef patty with melted Swiss cheese on top of the spread, followed by 2 slices of crispy bacon, a generous portion of sautéed mushrooms, shredded lettuce, and a slice of tomato. Top with the other half of the hamburger bun.
  • Serve the bacon mushroom Swiss burgers immediately and enjoy!
