Mushroom Beef Stir-Fry

Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tbsp cornstarch, 1 tsp sesame oil, and 1/2 tsp ground black pepper. Set aside.
- Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
- Add the sliced beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- Add the remaining 1 tbsp of vegetable oil to the skillet. Add the minced garlic and sliced onion, and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and red bell pepper to the skillet, and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet, and pour the sauce mixture over the beef and vegetables.
- Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and vegetables evenly.
- Remove from heat and serve the mushroom beef stir-fry hot over steamed rice or noodles. Enjoy!
