Instructions

  • In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  • Add 1 cup of sliced mushrooms, 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper to the skillet. Sauté for 5-7 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Spread 1/2 tablespoon of butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  • Place 2 slices of bread, buttered side down, in a separate skillet over medium heat.
  • Top each slice with 2 slices of Swiss cheese, then divide the sautéed mushrooms evenly between the two sandwiches.
  • Place the remaining 2 slices of bread on top, buttered side up.
  • Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
