Mushroom and Cheese Hoagie

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- 8 ounces of mushrooms, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 hoagie rolls
- 4 slices of provolone cheese
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
- Add 1/2 thinly sliced onion and sauté until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Add 8 ounces of sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they release their liquid and become golden brown, about 5 minutes.
- Season the mushrooms with salt and pepper to taste.
- Slice 2 hoagie rolls in half and place 2 slices of provolone cheese on each bottom half.
- Divide the sautéed mushrooms and onions evenly between the hoagie rolls.
- Top with the remaining provolone cheese slices and place the top half of the hoagie rolls on top.
- Wrap the hoagies in aluminum foil and place them in a preheated 350°F oven for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the hoagies are heated through.
- Unwrap the hoagies and serve hot. Enjoy!
