Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, combine 2 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat 1 cup of softened unsalted butter, 3/4 cup of granulated sugar, 3/4 cup of packed brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until creamy.
- Add 2 large eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Gradually beat in the flour mixture.
- Stir in 2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips and 1 cup of chopped nuts (optional).
- Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
