Ingredients
- 4 ounces of bittersweet chocolate
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
- 1 cup of powdered sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 6 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Grease and flour 4 ramekins.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 4 ounces of bittersweet chocolate and 1/2 cup of unsalted butter in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Stir in 1 cup of powdered sugar until well combined.
- Add 2 eggs and 2 egg yolks, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in 6 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins.
- Bake for 12 minutes, or until the sides are set but the center is still soft.
- Let the cakes cool for 1 minute, then run a knife around the edges and invert onto plates.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the molten lava center!
