Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 tomato slices
- 4 onion slices
- 4 pickle slices
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup mustard
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine 1 lb ground beef, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, 1 egg, 1/4 cup diced onion, 1/4 cup ketchup, 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and shape into burger patties.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and allow it to melt.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster for 1-2 minutes.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading 1 tbsp of mayonnaise and 1 tbsp of mustard on the bottom half of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, an onion slice, a pickle slice, and a burger patty with melted cheese on top of each bottom bun. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve the mega burgers hot and enjoy!
