  • 4 pineapple slices
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 slices of tomato
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and form into burger patties. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Place the burger patties on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness is reached.
  • During the last few minutes of cooking, brush the burger patties with teriyaki sauce and place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of each patty to melt.
  • While the burgers are cooking, grill the pineapple slices for 2-3 minutes on each side, until grill marks appear.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes, until lightly golden.
  • Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a burger patty with melted cheese, a grilled pineapple slice, a slice of tomato, and a few slices of red onion. Top with the other half of the bun.
  • Serve the Maui burgers hot and enjoy!
