Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups chopped macadamia nuts
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together 1 cup of softened unsalted butter, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and 1 cup of brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in 2 eggs, one at a time, then stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Combine 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture.
- Mix in 1 1/2 cups of chopped macadamia nuts until evenly distributed.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
