Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Rinse the beef liver under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Cut the liver into small pieces.
  • In a food processor, blend the liver pieces until smooth.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the liver puree, whole wheat flour, egg, and oats until well combined.
  • Roll out the liver dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness. Use a cookie cutter to cut out small shapes or simply cut into small squares.
  • Place the liver treats on the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle the crumbled bacon on top of each treat, pressing it gently into the dough.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the treats are firm and crispy.
  • Remove from the oven and let the treats cool completely on a wire rack before serving to your dog. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
