Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 large lettuce leaves
- 4 slices of tomato
- 4 slices of red onion
- 4 slices of avocado
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine 1 lb of ground turkey, 1/4 cup of breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, 1/4 cup of chopped onion, 1/4 cup of chopped parsley, 1 egg, 1 tsp of garlic powder, 1/2 tsp of salt, and 1/4 tsp of black pepper.
- Mix the ingredients until well combined, then divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
- Heat a grill or grill pan over medium heat and cook the turkey burgers for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through.
- While the burgers are cooking, wash and dry 4 large lettuce leaves, then place a turkey burger on each leaf.
- Top each burger with a slice of tomato, a slice of red onion, and a slice of avocado.
- Wrap the lettuce leaves around the burgers and secure them with toothpicks if needed.
