Instructions

  • Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  • In a large bowl, mix together 1 pound of ground beef, 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, diced jalapeno peppers, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Form into 4 patties.
  • Cook bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat until crispy. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
  • Grill the burger patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness. During the last few minutes of cooking, place a slice of cream cheese on each patty to melt slightly.
  • While the burgers are cooking, brush the hamburger buns with vegetable oil and place on the grill to toast for 1-2 minutes.
