  • 8 slices of whole wheat bread

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup of honey, 1/4 cup of Dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
  • Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag and pour half of the honey mustard mixture over the chicken. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the used marinade.
  • Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). During the last 2 minutes of grilling, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each chicken breast and allow it to melt.
  • Toast the whole wheat bread slices until golden brown.
  • Spread the remaining honey mustard mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
  • Place a lettuce leaf and a tomato slice on 4 slices of bread. Top each with a chicken breast and cover with the remaining slices of bread.
  • Slice the sandwiches in half and serve warm. Enjoy!
