Created by: Howcan Team

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of honey, 1/4 cup of bourbon, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of grated ginger, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt to make the glaze.
  • Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag and pour half of the glaze over the chicken. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the excess marinade. Cook the chicken in the skillet for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear.
  • Pour the remaining glaze into the skillet with the chicken and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the glaze to thicken and coat the chicken.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Drizzle any remaining glaze from the skillet over the chicken before serving.
  • Serve the honey bourbon glazed chicken with your choice of sides and enjoy!
