Grilled Salmon with Quinoa and Sesame Seeds is a dish that combines the rich, buttery flavor of grilled salmon with the nutty, earthy taste of quinoa and the subtle crunch of sesame seeds. This dish has its roots in the Pacific Northwest, where salmon is abundant and a staple in the local cuisine. Renowned chefs in the region, such as Tom Douglas in Seattle, have popularized this dish, often incorporating local, sustainable ingredients. The key to a perfect Grilled Salmon with Quinoa and Sesame Seeds lies in the quality of the salmon, the fluffy texture of the quinoa, and the toasty aroma of the sesame seeds. For a twist, some chefs also infuse the quinoa with citrus or herbs to elevate the flavors. Today, the best versions of this dish can be found in upscale seafood restaurants in Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver, where chefs continue to innovate and perfect this Pacific Northwest classic.
