Grilled Pork Chops with Apple Chutney
Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 4 bone-in pork chops, 1 inch thick
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 2 apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Rub the mixture over both sides of the pork chops.
- Place the pork chops on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes.
- While the pork chops are grilling, make the apple chutney. In a saucepan, combine the diced apples, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, water, ground ginger, cinnamon, and remaining 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft and the mixture has thickened.
- Serve the grilled pork chops with a generous spoonful of apple chutney on top. Enjoy!
