Tropical

Grilled Pineapple with Coconut Cream, served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, is a tropical dessert that originated in the Caribbean. This delightful dish combines the sweetness of grilled pineapple with the rich, creamy flavor of coconut cream and the classic appeal of vanilla ice cream. Renowned chefs in the Caribbean, such as Chef Marcus Samuelsson, have popularized this dessert, infusing it with their own unique twists. The key to perfecting this dish lies in grilling the pineapple to caramelized perfection and balancing the flavors of coconut cream and vanilla ice cream. For an alternative method, some chefs also serve the pineapple fresh with a drizzle of coconut cream. Today, the best versions of this dish can be found in upscale Caribbean restaurants and resorts, where the tropical flavors are celebrated.
