Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 tomato slices
- 4 red onion slices
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar, 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste.
- Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and massage the marinade into the chicken. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the excess marinade. Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- During the last few minutes of grilling, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each chicken breast and allow it to melt.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
- Assemble the sandwiches by placing a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, a red onion slice, and a grilled chicken breast with melted cheese on each bun.
- Serve the grilled chicken sandwiches immediately and enjoy!
