Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 12 Oreo cookies
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together 1 cup of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar.
- Add 1 egg, 3/4 cup of milk, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Dip each Oreo cookie into the batter, making sure it is fully coated, then carefully place it into the hot oil. Fry in batches for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown. Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried Oreos and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Scoop a generous portion of vanilla ice cream onto a serving plate and place 3 fried Oreos on top. Serve immediately and enjoy!
