Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 4 pork chops, 1 inch thick
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Season the pork chops with 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon of paprika.
- In a dutch oven, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the pork chops and set aside.
- Add the sliced onion and minced garlic to the dutch oven. Cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
- Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour over the onions and garlic. Stir to combine and cook for 1-2 minutes to make a roux.
- Slowly pour in 1 cup of chicken broth, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Return the pork chops to the dutch oven, nestling them into the sauce. Cover with a lid and transfer to the preheated oven.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the pork chops are tender and cooked through.
- Remove the dutch oven from the oven and place the pork chops on a serving platter.
- Stir 2 tablespoons of butter into the sauce until melted and well combined.
- Pour the sauce over the pork chops and serve hot. Enjoy!
