Ingredients
- 2 pounds frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup yellow onion, finely chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups sour cream
- 2 cups cornflakes, crushed
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine 2 pounds of thawed shredded hash browns, 1/2 cup of melted butter, 1 can of cream of chicken soup, 1/2 cup of finely chopped yellow onion, 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, and 2 cups of sour cream. Mix well.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the crushed cornflakes over the top of the casserole.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
- Allow the casserole to cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
