Instructions

  • Preheat the grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • In a bowl, mix 1 lb of ground beef with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and shape them into burger patties.
  • Place the burger patties on the grill or skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness is reached.
  • While the burgers are cooking, place 4 slices of bacon on a separate skillet over medium heat and cook until crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Once the burgers are cooked, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and allow it to melt for 1-2 minutes.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster for 1-2 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup of ketchup and 1/4 cup of mayonnaise to create the burger sauce.
  • Assemble the burgers by placing the cooked patty with melted cheese on the bottom bun, then adding a slice of crispy bacon, sliced pickles, onions, lettuce, and finally the top bun with the burger sauce spread on it.
