Ingredients
- 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal
- 1/4 cup of butter
- 1 package (10 oz) of marshmallows
- 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- In a large saucepan, melt 1/4 cup of butter over low heat.
- Add the marshmallows to the melted butter and stir until completely melted and smooth.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and quickly stir in the 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal until well coated.
- Press the mixture into the prepared baking dish using a buttered spatula or wax paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
- Drizzle the melted chocolate over the Rice Krispie treats using a spoon or piping bag.
- Allow the chocolate to set for about 10 minutes before cutting the treats into squares and serving.
