Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook 1 pound of ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot and cook until softened.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato sauce, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook 2 cups of elbow macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Add the cooked macaroni to the chili mixture and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and let it melt before serving.
